Last week, Charlie Javice was sentenced to seven years in prison for falsifying user data for her student financial aid company, Frank, which she sold to JPMorgan Chase in 2021 for a whopping $175 million. Sure, she’s going to jail, but women founders are the ones serving the life sentence. These “girlboss gone bad” stories only reinforce the (relentless) bias that women can’t be trusted with money or power. 🙄
