Emails are the bane of my existence. I currently have 2,506 unread emails burning a hole in my inbox (if you’re my boss reading this, no, you’re not). As a journalist, I get quite a lot of story pitches—and as much as I want to get back to every single one, I simply cannot (or else this newsletter wouldn’t get sent out, nor would the podcast).
