Lara here, Girlboss’ contributing writer! 👋

Things are about to get heated, 🔥 according to the stars—and our friends over at CHANI, the cool-girl astrology app. Today, they’re breaking down everything we can expect for the month ahead, and apparently, abundance is coming our way (but not without a little friction 👀).

Other stuff the Girlboss team is yapping about on Slack:

💼 Job of the day: Google is hiring a Designer for its Creative Lab in NYC! This highly creative role will “push the boundaries for what AI can achieve.” And did we mention the salary starts at $141K?

🌞 These workday upgrades will help you actually enjoy summer.

💗 Grab your legal pad and lip gloss! Your favorite pink-obsessed lawyer is back. What, like it’s hard?*

😤 Turns out the so-called “ambition gap” is really a support gap.

💻 Do you have productivity guilt from being too efficient at work?

Cellcosmet

Summer Is Hard on Your Skin, Even When It’s Good for Your Soul

Travel, heat, sun exposure, that one beach day where you swore you'd reapply SPF and forgot. 😅 Needless to say, your skin deserves a reset.

Enter Cellcosmet, the Swiss cellular skincare brand known for high-performance formulations rooted in science. Their post-sun recovery edit is exactly what stressed, sensitized skin needs to bounce back.

Here’s what’s worth adding to your summer routine:

🌿 Hydra-Soothing Mask: calms and replenishes skin that's had a long day in the sun

🧼 Gentle Cream Cleanser: gets everything off without stripping what's left of your skin barrier

Activator Gel: preps skin to better absorb the next products in your routine

💧 Active Tonic: an award-winning toner that replenishes and restores the skin

Your skin works hard in the summer. Let it recover just as hard.

July’s Cosmic Forecast: Things Are About to Get Spicy 🔥

Welcome back to Astro Moment, a new monthly cosmic check-in with our friends at CHANI. On the first Wednesday of every month, you’ll get the 411 on what’s written in the stars and how it might shape your work life for the month ahead. Here’s what’s in store for July. 🌃

July brings chaos, clarity, and a whole new story—roughly in that order. It all starts on July 3, when Mars (the planet of action) joins Uranus (the planet of disruption) in Gemini. This is a flammable combo, so expect collabs to get heated, comms to get aggro, and nothing to go according to plan.

Things get clearer on July 12 with the Mercury cazimi. Though cazimis are potent astrological moments that tend to reveal the truth, this one happens under the influence of reality-check Saturn—meaning, what gets exposed could be hard to swallow. Since it’s also in high-EQ Cancer, the trick will be to notice what your emotions are trying to clue you into, rather than pretending they aren’t there.

Then on July 26, the lunar nodes enter Leo and Aquarius for the first time in two decades and initiate fresh plot twists related to what we’re striving for and releasing (more on that next month).

And three days later, on July 29, there’s a Jupiter cazimi opposite a powerful Full Moon. This signature has enough abundance to go around, but it comes at a cost—and maybe a power struggle or two. Do your best to lead with generosity and avoid greed and gross interpersonal dynamics. Giving will go a long way and calm any rivalries bubbling beneath the surface.

What is one thing you want more of in your work life, and one thing you’re ready to let go of to make room for it?
