Read This Before Your Office Holiday Party…

Love them or hate them, office holiday parties are officially back in full swing, and according to a recent report from ezCater, 82% of you will be attending one this month. It’s normal to feel a little anxious going into social events like these, and according to the same survey, the top triggers for holiday party stress include:

🔥 Navigating hot topics
🥴 Not knowing many coworkers
🥂 Being around alcohol with management present

Sound familiar? 🙂‍↕️ To help you get through your office holiday party in style, we’ve rounded up our very best survival tips.

💩 Don’t be a party pooper

You made all the effort to go to your office holiday party (on personal time, no less!), so even if cringey karaoke isn’t your jam or hitting the dance floor is your idea of hell, get in on the action and try to make the most of it. 💃 Plus, if you’re going solo, it’s a great way to bond with coworkers you don’t know very well and shake off any social awkwardness.

We’re not saying you have to belt out “Defying Gravity” in front of the entire office, but at least look engaged, be supportive, and keep spirits bright. There’s no point in attending if you just stand off in a corner or go on your phone the whole time (TBH, that might be perceived as worse than not attending at all 😬).

👀 Rub shoulders with the bigwigs

Be sure to say “hello” to your boss and any other upper management you’ve been hoping to impress: it’s a simple way to stay on their radar and in their good graces. 😇 If you’re feeling up for it, it’s also a great opportunity to chat on a person-to-person level about non-work-related things. Not in your wheelhouse? No problem: Say a quick “hello” and “thank you” and move along. 🏃‍♀️

P.S. It's best to get these greetings out of the way early in the evening so you don’t inadvertently blurt out something unhinged after two glasses of bubbly. 😘

🪶 Keep things light

It may be tempting to follow up with that coworker who’s been ghosting you or ask your boss about your next career milestones, but avoid work talk as much as you can. 🙅‍♀️ This is supposed to be a celebration, and the whole point of the party is to be together and not work.

In that same vein, avoid hot topics like politics, social justice, and the economy. 🔥 Instead, ask about travel plans, what they’ve been watching lately, or their family. Trust us on this one, it’s so not worth it to get into a heated debate with Chad from accounting.

The Wellness Gift Everyone’s Talking About This Christmas

Every year, there’s one gift that becomes the star of Christmas morning (last year, it was definitely the Ninja® Creami™). This year? It’s bruusta, the first kombucha-on-tap system that turns any kitchen into a wellness bar. 🫧🫙

Thoughtful, clever, and genuinely good for you, it’s the easiest way to brew fresh, low-sugar kombucha at home… without becoming a full-time fermentation scientist. 🧑‍🔬

One brew makes about 21 servings, cuts down on single-use bottles, and costs way less than store-bought cans. Plus, the sleek tap-style design looks like something straight out of a wellness influencer’s kitchen.

For the wellness lover, the hostess with the mostest, or the sober-curious friend who wants to drink less—this might just be the gift of the season. 🍋🫚

Ambition 2.0 new episode banner

According to workplace expert and author Jennifer Moss, burnout in 2025 is actually worse than it was during the pandemic, with nearly half of the global workforce feeling it.

In this new episode of Ambition 2.0, host Amanda Goetz sits down with Jennifer to unpack why burnout keeps rising, how “hardcore culture” and the 996 movement backfire for both people and companies, and why self-care rituals like face masks and bubble baths are just band-aids on a much bigger problem.

What Team Girlboss has been loving lately.

😱 A flyaway tamer, brow gel, and edge control all in one sleek tube?! This just became our makeup bag MVP.

🏡 Say what you want about Kendall Jenner, but you can’t deny that her house is gorgeous. Her new Architectural Digest house tour just dropped. Safe to say we’re obsessed.

📲 Influencer marketing moves fast—and Return on Influence is the one newsletter that actually keeps up. Modash’s Eleni Zoe tackles the most pressing questions and dilemmas facing today’s marketers, all in under five minutes. Did we mention it’s free? Consider yourself plugged in.*

🍬 We’ve been seeing Jelly Belly Bean Boozled all over our FYP (the fun is that you don’t know if the jelly bean will be delicious or disgusting. Think: stinky socks or tutti-frutti), and we highly recommend grabbing these for stocking stuffers before they sell out.

👄 Are your lips as chapped as ours are from the dry winter air lately?! The LOOPS Double Take Mini Lip Mask has become our daily savior (plus, it makes for a great stocking stuffer, too!).
