Talking Points

If You’re Too Busy

Happy Galentine’s Day! 💘 Did you know that it became a global holiday all thanks to Parks & Recreation

It’s no secret: We all want a work bestie. Most professionals feel work friendships help them feel more engaged (83%), satisfied on the job (81%), and connected to their workplaces (80%), according to a recent KMPG survey

Someone you can gossip with over lunch, secretly message on Slack during a boring meeting, and cry with in the bathroom after a hard day—don’t we all want that, just a little bit? Even though we’re well into our careers, we still fantasize about having the relationship that Jane, Sutton, and Kat do in The Bold Type. Three 20-something women working together at a fashion magazine—a trope we’ve seen a million times but one that we can’t seem to get enough of.

In honor of Galentine’s Day, we asked you to share your work-friendship stories. And after reading through the heartfelt responses, we’re not crying, you’re crying! 🥺
